When you use L10nGuard, we collect:
- Account information — email address and profile data provided through your sign-in method (email, Google, or GitHub), managed by Clerk
- Files you upload — localization files submitted for translation
- Job metadata — settings you choose (engine, languages, style), timestamps, and job status
- Usage data — basic request logs for security and debugging
2. How We Use Your Data
- To provide and improve the translation service
- To send you job completion notifications and product updates
- To debug issues and prevent abuse
We do not use your uploaded files or translations to train AI models. Your content is processed solely to deliver your translations.
3. Data Storage and Retention
- Uploaded files and translated outputs are stored temporarily and deleted after 30 days
- Account data is retained while your account is active
- Job metadata (settings, timestamps) is retained for billing and support purposes
4. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services:
- Clerk — authentication and account management (privacy policy)
- Anthropic (Claude) — AI translation engine. Your file content is sent to the API for processing but is not used for model training per Anthropic's API terms
- Vercel — hosting
5. Communications
By creating an account, you agree to receive product-related emails at the email address associated with your account. This includes service notifications (e.g., job completed), usage updates, and occasional product announcements. You can unsubscribe from non-essential emails at any time via the unsubscribe link in those emails.
6. Your Rights
You can:
- Request a copy of your data
- Request deletion of your account and associated data
- Unsubscribe from non-essential emails
